Hey beautiful people

So this month has been a successful clothing/fashion month for me because I added some awesome staple pieces as well as statement pieces to my closet. 

With these new pieces in my closet picking outfits are so much fun.

I have also accumulated a lot of black, white, silver and denim pieces, which make my closet an awesome colour scheme to build outfits out of.

Let's get into the amazing pieces.

I have been highly inspired by Coachella, especially Kylie Jenner's Coachella fashion (if I haven't said this enough already). I have particularly fallen in love with the way she layers necklaces, so I decided to buy some and try my own spin on the trend.

The sunglasses were a random buy and they aren't the style of sunglasses that I tend to go for, but I ended up loving them so much! It was a lovely surprise. You can see me wearing them here.

FLANNELS

There hasn't been a day in a while when I haven't worn a flannel. I am absolutely in love with them! Either worn open, buttoned up or around your waist, they are HELLA cute. They add a cute touch to a basic outfit and if you're like me and hardly wear colour they are and easy way to add some colour.

A few months ago I only wore black bottoms, whether it was black skinnies,skirts, or leggings. Now all I can wear is blue jeans. I love them so much, especially if they are mom or boyfriend jeans. Pictured above are my favourite mom jeans (Top by Levi's) and my favourite boyfriend jeans (Bottom Forever 21 Road Trip Jeans). They both add a retro, laid back vibe, plus they are comfy which is always a plus. I recommend these to anyone and everyone, and they can be found for super cheap at vintage stores or you can d.i.y your own bf jeans.

SHOES

This month has brought me many beautiful shoes, I am so lucky and thankful. These two pictured above have been my fav out of the bunch. Firstly and my abousolute favourite out of all of my shoes are the Air Force 1 Mid. Since I was given them for my birthday, I can't stop wearing them. I love them so much that I would sleep & shower in them, if it was socially acceptable. But since it isn't i'll have to save them for going out ;). I'm also happy that I chose the mids over the lows, it suits my style better.

Secondly, is the Shellys London Milligans. I have worn these almost every time I have gone to work this month I have gotten millions of compliments and questions as to where I got them. Also they are so comfy I worked a 10 hour shift in them and my feet didn't hurt at all! They have a tell heel, but the platform is tall too so you foot isn't on an insane slope, causing them to hurt quicker. I recommend these to EVERYBODY for the spring/summer. Pick them at @ Little Burgundy ASAP.

 TOPS

This month has been the month of tank tops & halter tops for me, these 3 above happen the be my favourite. In the middle is a current addition to my wardrobe and it already is a favourite; it is the Grey strappy seamed bralet from Topshop aka heaven. Anyway not only does the seam give this tank a cute little spin on the basic cami but the material is so thick and good quality! It's pretty cheap to making it a must buy.

The fact that halters are back in style make me so happy, because it throws me back to my childhood, when I used to wear them everyday to summer camp and amusement parks along with my jellies. The two pictured above (the black & white) are the Sachi halters from Brandy Meville. These are so soft and comfy and at the great price of $11 bucks, how can you go wrong?

// On The Go Makeup Bag //

Hey babes

So this is just gonna be a mini post, but I thought it might be a little helpful. 

I always have a makeup bag with me in my bag, no matter where I'm going; packed with anything I think I might need in the day (sometimes I over pack but whateves). 

THE BAG

Makeup Bag: Forever 21 

I have this bag in both sizes, I had the small version for a while and decided to upgrade to the bigger so I could carry more makeup around that I probably don't need

WHAT'S INSIDE 

I'm going to divide the contents of my makeup bag by the practical things and the fun makeup bits.

THE PRACTICAL BITS

1. I ALWAYS have a mirror in my makeup bag. It's so helpful to do touch-ups after gym or just after a long day at school. I prefer using a separate mirror rather than using a mirror that comes in a powder compact or something along those lines.

2. Lip balm is something that I must have with me 24/7. I have dry skin overall, therefore my lips get dry easily and often. Carmex is my favourite because it works quickly! It may not be the cutest looking lip balm on the market but it works like a charm.

3. I travel on the subways multiple times a day so this bottle of purell handsanitizer.

4. As I mentioned before, I have really dry skin, so I have to carry a light lotion around just incase a dry spot appears on my face during the day; i'll even use this on my body if I need it.

5. My nails are pretty brittle and weak, so during my days at school I often break nails or get hang nails so it's handy to have a nail file around. I love this one by O.P.I because it is so big and has lasted forever.

THE MAKEUP BITS

1. My signature makeup look is definitely a sharp winged liner look. I achieve this with Sephora's "Long Lasting Eyeliner w/ Precision Brush". This brush is so tiny (which I don't recommend for winged liner beginners), but if you have the hang of it, I highly recommend it to get that sharp winged look. It also dries matte so it photographs really nicely.

2.I lOVE a bright pink blush look for my everyday makeup! I have a couple favourite blushes it doesn't stay the same every day. Pictured above, I just put NARS orgasm because I know it is a world wide favourite.

3. This is my favourite face makeup brush right now. I basically love any flat top kabuki brush. I can use it for foundation, powder and blush. (When switching colour I just try to sweep the previous colour off as much as possible or I wash it with daily brush shampoo.

4. For spring I have been rocking the classic pink lip. I don't have one specific favourite pink lip more like I have 5 favourite but pictured above is one of them. It is MAC Syrup! This is such a good lip product overall; you can use it on its own or because it has a glossy lustre finish you can put it onto of a lipstick or liner as a gloss.

5. This is such a good translucent powder! It's the definition of a luxury product,pricy, but soooooo worth it. Bless Marc Jacobs for bringing it on the market. It leaves your face looking smooth and airbrushed and your makeup doesn't budge once you apply it on top. I also love the fact that it is a translucent powder because you can use it on any skin tone.

6. This mascara by MAC is hands down THE BEST MASCARA I HAVE EVER USED. I used to hate mascara and rarely wore it, but after using this I won't go out without it on. It's that good! Not only is the brush good, but the actual mascara formula is too. It's lightweight and whipped making it easy to coat all of the lashes, leaving them black and shiny.

7. I must have some sort of perfume with my throughout the day. I often re-apply m scents through the day just because I am paranoid of not smelling good. I also have gym every other day so a perfume comes in handy. This one is a scent I think everyone will enjoy because it smells like light,fresh soap after a shower. I also am in love with my Viva La Juicy Roller Ball

Monthly Music Picks // April

Hey Cuties 

So Starting now every month I will be putting out a list of songs, albums and a playlist of songs that I have been obsessed with for the past month.

Quick note I love all types of music, I have been exposed to all types of music growing up. But my favourite genres or hip-hop & r&b. 

I wish I could make music, but i'll have to stick to listening to my favourites instead.

This album is so rad in my opinion. It's one of the few albums that I have listened to from beginning to end multiple times, which is rare for me. I has sick beats all through the songs as well as some sweet melodies to chill out too.

Owl Pharaoh - Travi$ Scott

I owe this recommendation to my dad, got to admit he knows about his hip-hop sometimes. Travis is signed with Kanye West's music label GOOD music & T.I's label Grand Hustle. I think that's one of the main reason's I like it so much because it has a Kanye & T.I vibe; and Kanye and T.I have been my favourite artists since as long as I can remember. So there is no wonder that Travis has slipped into my most listened to list on my iTunes.

I highly recommend this to anybody, even if you don't tend to listen to rap or hip-hop I think you will find something to like. Try the song hell of a night if you're a new listener.

Graduation- Kanye West

This is the definition of an oldie but a goodie! I am probably bias when I say I think every Kanye album is good, but I truly think they all bring something good to the music game. This album has more of Kanye's feel good songs, but I like it when getting ready in the morning or walking to school because its such pump up music. Also some of the songs (Can't Tell Me Nothing & Good Life) bring me back memories to December when I saw him preform at his Toronto Yeezus show #perfect.

Easter Haul // LUSH

Hey Cuties

Happy belated Easter to all of you who celebrate... I know some of you might have been celebrating 420 ;). 

It's a yearly tradition that my mom does an easter egg around the house on Easter Sunday morning. Up until this year it would be an array of different chocolates and candies, but this year she added an extra sweet surprise... LUSH PRODUCTS! I was so surprised and happy and she made me promise to do a blog post about them so here it is!

WHAT I GOT 

Ahh just looking at all these things get me excited about how good I'm going to smell LOL. So 6 of the things came in the creepy yet cute bunny head and the two big easter eggs came separately.

1. Bunch Of Carrots - Reuseable Bubble Bar 

*lemon, blackcurrant & bergamot scented

2. Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb

*drop into the bath, watch the bomb fizz and enjoy the sweet scent

Lastly, I got the immaculate exception in both colours, even though they each have the same scent. These are fricken cool because you can split them in half and inside is another bath bomb; so it's a 3 in one!

Overall, I'm very excited to use all of them and I'm happy my mom thought outside the box and did this along with candy. LOVE HER!

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND // What I Got For My 17th Birthday

Hey boo 

*Strap in this is a long post* 

So Last Sunday, April 13th, 2014, I turned SEVENTEEN! 

It's so crazy that I am already 17 years old, I remember my first day of junior kindergarten like it was yesterday and the awkward times of middle school! Where did the time go? Time really does fly! :O Anyway, enough of the nostalgia, lets get into the b-day details haul!

WHAT I DID

So Friday night I had dinner with my mom, aunt, and grandma, where I got some gifts from them. I was blown away and got way more than I expected and I'm so thankful that they are my fam!

Than on Saturday I headed downtown to this awesome bowling restaurant called "The Ballroom" with my two friends sam & cleo and my momma! We bowled for 2 hours and ate AMAZING food, then went for cupcakes at the "Cupcake Shoppe" downtown as well.

Such an amazing chill way to spend my first day of being 17.

WHAT I GOT 

So above you can see a little overview of everything, but just to give you an in depth view of everything I'm gonna do separate pictures of 5 categories. Those categories are, clothes, shoes, make up, body products, and lastly gift cards.

MAKE UP

So the day before my birthday, my mom treated me with a trip to the MAC counter & the next day my friend Cleo surprised me with a little Stila treat. This is what I got...

My aunt was lucky enough to go to the 2014 Oscars (where the famous Ellen selfie was taken) and was nice enough to give me one of the official Oscar hoodies! Not only is it a fricken cool hoodie, but it is cute and it is such good quality! What a score, I will cherish it forever. 

This week my friend Sam gave me some money as a gift and I knew exactly what I wanted to get with it, new boyfriend jeans! I picked these ones up at Forever 21. I had been eyeing them for a week or so and I was so happy that I got them.

SHOES

Nike Air Force 1 Mid 
This is probably my favourite gift that I got for this birthday. Although I don't want to rank my gifts, I've wanted these shoes for AGES now and I'm glad to make them part of my little shoe family. I will be doing a separate review on these so stay tuned for that.

Body Products 

I love getting body products as gifts, because they are things that you usually don't go out of the way to buy for yourself.

The coconut body butter is an all time favourite, not only from the body shop but in life. I've gone through 2 tubs just since January and that says something because I never finish anything. The other two products are newbies that I'm excited to add to my daily routine.

Gift Cards 

Lastly, I received some gift cards, which I personally love. I know people don't like giving gift cards because they seem impersonal, but I'll happily receive a gift card for any occasion. 

The range of gift cards I got this year is amazing it covers all things I could ever want (clothes, makeup, and food). I also got money, but of course I won't photograph that. But look forward for some spring fashion and beauty hauls in the future.

It will come when I finally have time to shop, I have been so busy!
